Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper is mould made, produced with 100% cotton, chlorine and acid free, guaranteeing long conservation and inalterability over time. The paper is sized both internally and externally, making it ideally absorbent and retaining its nature unaltered even if scratched. Traditional white, without optical bleaching.
Two deckle edged and watermarked "FABRIANO+ARTISTICO" on the short side. Short grain. The high quality and ample offer of this paper satisfied the requirements of all professional artists and the most demanding amateurs.
Ideal for watercolour, tempera, gouache, acrylic, link, charcoal, graphite and drawing. It is also suitable for printmaking.
Fabriano Artistico is available in ROUGH, COLD PRESSED (NOT) and HOT PRESSED (HP). The rough is the roughest paper, NOT is a medium texture and HP is smooth. Due to surface changes in 2016 the HP may not be suitable for detailed botanical work.
Please note: that if the paper is cut it will change the number of deckle edges in the sheet.

The finest HP paper one can buy
My clients pay a premium price for my work, it seems only fair that I should paint on a premium surface. There really is no better paper I believe.

Finally somewhere that sells Fabriano Artistico HP in the UK! Love this paper. Cracks when folded dry, but run a damp brush along the line before folding and it's superb for bookmaking. Barely wrinkles. Love it.

I love using Fabriano Artistico traditional white and extra white. Both have smooth texture that perfect for a very fine details of my botanical art. It is also durable and forgiving watercolour paper. I don't worry to damage its surface when I have to lift a paint.
