This Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Sable Pony Brush is made from a blend of natural sable and pony hair. Each brush has a traditional long, pointed round shape that is characteristic of Chinese Painting, Calligraphy and Sumi-e techniques. The natural hairs give these brushes good colour holding capacity while the fine point is ideal for sweeping strokes and finer detail.

Chinese painting is an ancient art that focuses on the use of simple brush strokes to create a loose impression of a figure or scene. When working with a Chinese painting technique each stroke is intentional and is not be changed or corrected.
