Pigments are large in particle size so will not go through fine line nozzles for airbrushes, nor will they be suitable for technical pens or fountain pens. The best means of applying pearlescent colours is by using a dipper pen, ruling pen or brush.
These acrylic-based inks are water-soluble when wet, but dry to a water-resistant film on most surfaces. All colours are very to extremely lightfast.
This breakthrough in colour technology offers almost limitless creative potential in areas not normally associated with inks and includes applications to wood and leather (and to a limited degree, glass and ceramics) as well as to paper and board. All colours are intermixable. They are permanent and translucent, but work best if put down freely rather than applying successive layers of colours. The shimmering pearl effect created by these colours is startling, and there are many interesting and exciting ways of using FW Pearlescent Inks.
Pearlescent Effects Set of 6 — Set of six 29.5ml bottles contains one each Black, Moon Violet, Waterfall Green, Galactic Blue, White Pearl, and Platinum Pink.
Acrylic inks are made using a pigment and a binder much like oils, acrylics and watercolours. Sometimes the binder and pigment may separate in the bottle and will need shaking to mix them again so that they are ready for use. This is more common in colours such as white and yellow, so you may find that these colours need more shaking than darker colours. The degree of separation varies from one range to another, and should not be considered a fault.

Write a reviewLoved this set of pearlecent inks. The ink is nice and thick and really good quality. Opaque, but can be watered down to a more transluscent ink. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I loved the colours, that pearl white is amazing!
They're really smooth and easy to work with, the consistency is not too thick or too runny. Also they're just so pretty I could stare at them forever.
