These brushes are short handled soft bristled synthetic and have just the right spring when using very fluid paint. Synthetics do have the problem of splaying ends but I have not noticed it on these brushes as yet

I bought these for oil painting, and I am very pkeased with them. They are not too stiff, but firm enough to hold plenty of thick paint. Good value for money.
