Use these pencils and paints together to create a spectrum of rich, metallic colours in your mixed media projects. Experiment and see how they interact - try using pencils as an outline then wash and splash paint over the top of dry colour. Derwent Metallic Paint Pans transform into creamy, shimmering colours with a touch of a wet brush - use with little water to create bold, gouache-like strokes or dilute to create hazy, shimmering washes. Derwent Metallic Pencils are non-water soluble and create rich, glittering dry colour that is easily blended.

Set comes beautifully organized in a durable container.
Included is an extra long barrel waterbrush, synthetic fibers hold a good amount of water, easy to release water by simply squeezing the barrel.
Synthetic fibers hold their point and clean up easily.
It has 12 full length pencil and 6 paint half-pans. There’s plenty of paint for many uses and experimentation.
Paint pans are water soluble and activate easily.
Pencils are full size and hexagonal, so they don’t roll around. Texture is creamy and easily blends, if desired.
I’ve only used white paper and will try dark paper next.
I got this set on sale, and found it excellent value for the money. Even regular price, it’s still great.Did you find this review useful?
