Very handy pens in wallets for drawing and writing
Faber-Castell pens are not better than Uni-pin or Micron, but not necessarily worse either. They are still one of the best quality pens that are out there.
They usually come in packs of different sizes and styles like this, which makes them excellent for beginners, for general sketching and hold up in quality even when doing finished, detailed art too. When I do art I intend to finish, I switch to Uni-pin or Micron, but I do the concept and thumbnailing using Faber Castell. It is arguably the shiniest and not as dark as Uni-pin. The difference is minimal for hobbyists though.
If I had to recommend ink pens for anyone trying the medium out, it would be these.
