Liquitex Professional Silver Metallic Medium

Liquitex Silver Metallic Medium is an effects medium that can be used on its own or mixed with colour to give them a subtle silver metallic shimmer.

Silver Metallic Medium can be mixed with acrylic paint to extend the colour and slow down drying time. It will impart a subtle silver lustre to any colour it is mixed with, or can be used alone to create silver surface highlights. When used with Heavy Body this medium will lower its viscosity. This medium will slow the drying time of your colours, allowing you more time to create subtle colour blends. This medium extends colour without affecting acrylic stability. This medium can be used for airbrushing, staining and fine detail painting.

Silver Metallic Medium is lightfast, archival, permanent, non-yellowing, flexible, non-cracking and water-resistant when dry. It is intermixable with all Liquitex acrylic materials.

To use Liquitex Silver Metallic Medium follow these steps:

• Slowly stir as much of this medium you need into your acrylic paints to create the level of metallic lustre and viscosity you require. Transparent colours give the best results with this medium.
• This medium can be used straight from the bottle to create a semi-opaque silver effect.
• Mix with any other Liquitex acrylic paint or medium for limitless effects.

Do not mix too vigorously with your acrylic colour as it will create bubbles. If bubbles do appear while stirring, leave the mixture to sit and they should rise and disappear.
