A good, solid easel but when buying one it is important to be aware that the max height does not refer only to the maximum height it can reach but the height of the ceiling necessary to accommodate the easel's full extent. The horizontal support is an extension of the upright sliding shaft and will limit the dimensions of the work when it hits the ceiling. There are ways round it: either saw off a section of the top of the vertical shaft or, less drastically, introduce filler pieces underneath the canvas.
