The Pro Arte Stephen Coates Mini Hake Brush is a goat hair brush that blends the traditional hake shape with modern brush making innovation. It has a distinctive chisel shape and its natural hair holds large amounts of water. The brush tip is 2cm (3/4”) wide and is fantastic for creating broad washes of colour like skies. Unlike traditional Japanese Hake brushes, which have bound wooden handles, the Stephen Coates Mini Hake is fitted with a flattened metal ferrule that firmly grips the hair to enhance durability and reduce hair loss.
