The Winsor & Newton Series 7 Kolinsky Watercolour Brush is made from the finest selected pure red sable, these brushes are unsurpassed in quality and are the top of the range water colour brushes from Winsor & Newton. Rustproof and seamless nickel plated ferrules. Black polished, short birch wood handles.
We now have a selection of Series 7 Brushes available in wooden presentation boxes making a special gift for any watercolour artist. We only have limited stocks of the wooden presentation box for each size and they will no longer be available once we have sold them.
PLEASE NOTE: Due restrictions by the US Fisheries & Wildlife Department regarding sable hair, we are not able to send any sable brushes to the US by FEDEX.

Series 7s are in a class of their own. If you paint fine detail, you don't need anything smaller than a 2 - this will produce as fine a line as anyone is capable of painting, and will not run dry in a few seconds like a tiny brush. The body of these brushes is unmatched - they keep their shape, hold paint beautifully and provide just enough stiffness to allow perfect control. They are reassuringly expensive, so if you need the precision of their perfect point, don't use your Series 7 for mixing. I keep an El Cheapo acrylic brush for that - Series 7s are for applying paint to paper.
