Hersey’s original recipes are still in use today to guarantee a consistently high-quality product. Each pastel is made using the finest artists pigments with the best lightfastness to ensure that your artwork will stand the test of time. They have a smooth, buttery texture and are water soluble.

These soft pastels can be used to create a variety of effects. Their softness makes colour mixing easy and the versatility of pastel means that they can be blended and used with all kinds of mediums including oil, charcoal, pencil and watercolour.

At Bromleys, we take great care in packing and shipping your art materials to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. However, due to the delicate nature of some of our products, particularly soft pastels and charcoal sticks, these items may occasionally arrive with minor chips or breaks. Small chips and clean breaks in the pastel do not detract from their use. Therefore, we regret that we cannot offer refunds for pastels with minor damage unless they are rendered completely unusable.
