Originally a sketcher's product these superior quality canvas boards feature canvas laminated onto high quality boards of excellent stability. They are stretched by hand for correct tension with tailored corners and are triple coated with one coat of acid free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented primer. This helps to give the boards a balanced absorbency and tooth which prevents sinking of oil colours and improves adhesion.
The medium grain surface is ideal for all techniques including heavier applications of colour. Artists' Canvas Board is prepared for immediate use and is suitable for use with oil (including water mixable oil), alkyd and acrylic colours.

My entire full order with KB has been superb with fast delivery and good deals. Only issue has been the canvas boards. Out of the 5 I have worked on 3 and each one has had dents and marks on the board. Luckily the work I do currently has covered these marks up but the boards were either dented in transit or not checked properly when in storage. This is the only part of the entire order I would reconsider purchasing from them.

I really liked the coarse texture of these canvas boards. They make it easy to produce interesting textural effects in acrylics.

These boards are excellent for my purpose. They are easy to use, easy to frame and for an amateur leisure painter they are ideal.
