Write a reviewThe design incorporates many practical features to maximise the flexibility of the field box in use. It can even take two additional half pans if desired. It took me a while to discover the release mechanism for the centre line of pans. It has been put to use whilst at a cafe table in Pollensa Square and the box (and my watercolour postcard drawing) were admired by folk on the next table - a lovely unexpected bonus. It’s very tactile and satisfying to hold and use. The sponge is good for getting controlled drops of water into the wells for creating a wash.
It has swiftly become a favourite piece of kit.
I had to buy this when I saw it because of its compactness and ease of use. Very easy to carry around.
A slight imperfection in the hinge casting of the lid makes me wonder how long it will last, but at 86 it's not that important. A pity one can't buy it empty and choose colours to suit but the complete price is something of a bargain. Storing the sponge in the water-cup allows the fitting of two extra colours which I found particularly useful. Certainly don't regret the purchase.
