Stephen Coates

After a varied career in music and business, Sheffield-based artist Stephen Coates embraced his passion for watercolour and became a respected tutor and demonstrator. Partnering with Proarte, Stephen designed his own range of brushes to meet the needs of watercolour painters. His signature brush, the "Foliater," is particularly favoured for creating realistic trees and foliage. Stephen’s brushes are crafted to help artists recreate the techniques he teaches in his popular workshops.
