Write a reviewthese are great products - even if you dont use other bob Ross paints - good base to work from for all wet in wet oil painting - Just use little or your work will slide off.
These base paints are excellent. They enable you to move the paint easily on the canvas, whether as a base coat of colour or in its clear state. It also stays wet for about 4-5 days so that you can leave the project without it drying to quickly. It would be painful to use oils on canvas without these base coats. I find them easy and practical and you can also mix them with normal oil paints to reduce its pliancy.
Ross' liquid clear is excellent medium to use when you're painting portraits, 'cause it allows you to blend colour smoothly together seamlessly. As an example I'd like to show my painting http://knilf.deviantart.com/art/20-Sherlock-Holmes-385132011 .
Only thing is that you have to be careful how much you use liquid clear, because it can leave some areas that are glossy even when the whole painting is dry. But this products ups outrule the downs.
I highly recommend this product.
