  • A great idea

Not actually used these as yet but they look perfect for what I need - a small amount of colour to try as swatches and/or to add small details to existing art work. Seems to me to be a really good option for ‘try before you buy’, as I have not used watercolour in my work before so need to learn a bit more about how it works first before committing myself. Certainly good value for money.

  • Better than a colour chart

These little mineral marvels are so good. The little sheets give a much better idea of the paint on paper than any chart. I ended up purchasing several of the Primateks because I loved the results of testing on the dot card. It is a much cheaper and interesting way of testing the paints and these mineral paints are so beautiful. There is no way to guess what the paints are really like from just the colour charts. I also love how they are grouped on the dot card. My only additional comment (and why I gave 4 stars instead of 5)is that I wish there was a little bit more paint on the cards, although what is there is quite concentrated.

  • Fascinating ‘taster’ of this range of watercolours.

Useful introduction to this range of watercolours for a painter to assess their use.
