Daniel Smith Watercolour Primatek Set

I have heard good things about the Daniel Smith range but because I prefer pans to tubes (just my thing) I had never been tempted. The offer of trial sizes sounded a good bargain so I ordered a set. I am really happy with the way they handle, rich pure colour from the genuine pigments, moving easily wet into wet and on the palette. The Primatek give wonderful granulation and texture. I squeezed some from each tube into my palette wells and let them dry for few days to see if I could use them in the way I use my pans. Moistening the dried paint I was able to still get the intensity of colour immediately onto my paper. I will definitely be increasing my use of the Daniel Smith Range. They are on the expensive side, but value for money as a little goes a long way, and because they can be used in a dried state no waste.

These primatek colours are not to be missed and an inspired choice of colours here,not what i would have immediately chosen. Only complaint being a very similar pink in both this set and the essentials,dont really need both and with such a huge range something else could have been chosen. These really are wonderful paints to use!
