Works well over two chairs. Fortunately my partner is left handed and I am right handed. Excellent light and dimmable at a brief touch of the end of the light. Base is good and solid and light is unobtrusive and can be folded upright out of the way when not in use. I have two other desk lamps by this manufacturer which I use for my bookbinding and for the office. Can't fault them.

The Daylight floor lamp was easy to assemble and the flat base fits nicely, partly under my couch so that the stand is close to the side of the couch and slightly behind and to the left of me. It gives good lighting which can be adjusted to four different strengths by touching the tips of each light tube. It is very useful, especially now in Winter with the shorter daylight hours.
