If you find that your sharpener is not working effectively it is possible that a loose lead has been caught inside the mechanism. If this is the case you should take the sharpener to pieces and check for any broken pieces of lead that may be preventing the sharpener from sharpening. For more detailed instructions click on the cleaning tab above.
Twist the handle of the crank anticlockwise. As you turn it the handle should become loose. Once released, gently pull the handle out of the sharpener.
Whe fully removed, clear the blade of any debris that has collected in the helical blade.
Check the hollow down the centre of the helical blade as this may also contain loose debris. If you look down the hollow in the blade you should be able to see through a small hole at the bottom.
Once the blade is free of loose debris reassemble the sharpener. The blade should slot back into the body of the sharpener and lock into position once turned clockwise.

Write a reviewFits my Luminance coloured pencils but a bit too small for my Museum Aquarelle pencils. Other than wishing it was just a bit larger it really is perfect. Easy to clean the blades, just pop out the tray and you have direct access to the blades. I even managed to break a lead inside the sharpener (pencil had been sharpened with a different dull sharpener), but since I can reach the blades from underneat I just pushed it out. Sharpens all my pencils to a superfine point. Really neat sharpener, and a nice price too.
Lo g tapered point for the finest of lines but do not over do it as it sharpens quickly. Always check after 2 or 3 turns. I use mine for pastel pencils which need to be carefully sharpened. This does the job brilliantly. Needless to say that if you have a long point for fine lines you need to be gentle.
Quite possibly the best ever Pencil Sharpener available to the human being ever (maybe). Turn your pencils into darts with this machine!
