I have not used it extensively as yet but have found it versitile in that it also deals gently with crayon pencils and those drawing pencils with softer leads ie. 3B and up.

This wasn't expensive so I bought it to try as an eyebrow pencil sharpener as the metal ones chew the kohl lead to bits. This worked! Lovely sharp point at last and I shall not have to keep buying new pencils
