  • A useful hint

The eraser rotates counter-clockwise seen from the grip side. This is obviously a very reasonable feature by design because everything rubbed away goes in the direction away from your face. Machines in fine mechanics, however, usually run clockwise. Anyway, this eraser should be moved from bottom left to top right if you are right-handed for the same reason why airplanes start against the wind. If this electrical eraser is moved the other way round, its traveling speed would be subtracted from the tangential speed of the rotating rubber and, therefore, not only the erasing effect is weakened, the eraser itself behaves somewhere between jumpy and totally unusable. I think it would be a good idea if Derwent includes a manual illustrating this know-how. Nevertheless, after having figured out how to use this tool properly, I am very happy with it.

  • The perfect eraser

I love this electric eraser, and the rubber refills are are a generous size. The body is a nice shape and handles well - a great product!
