Jakar Desk Top Sharpener with Clamp

The Jakar Desk Top Pencil Sharpener features a clamp which can be used to attach it to a desk-top surface. This sharpener is designed for sharpening regular and colour pencils of between 7-11.6mm diameter. The thickness and sharpness of the point can be adjusted between 0.5 and 4.8mm by turning the ribbed screw that passes through the handle. Do not use with soft leaded pencils.

To sharpen your pencil just squeeze the top handles and pull them away from the main body of the sharpener. Stick your pencil into the front opening as far as it will go, then let go of the handles. Twist the back handle, and watch the helical blade sharpen while keeping your pencil in place. Once it's nice and sharp, the handle should turn without reisistance. You can free your pencil by giving the handles another squeeze.

Clean the waste drawer regularly. If you find that a helical sharpener isn’t working as it should it’s quite possible that there is loose lead caught in the blade. Disassemble and gently clean then blade and your pencil sharpener should work effectively again.
