These pencils have a firm, blendable texture that can be used dry or manipulated with a slightly wetted paintbrush. I bought this to try out against my favourite pencils and I'm loving the smooth gliding on of the colour to paper. Added water using a water pen brush and it's easy to move the colour . Will continue to experiment.
