Inktense has a firm, blendable texture and comes in a range of 71 brilliant colours, plus a non-soluble outliner which allows you to draw outlines that are permanent. The colours can be blended together with a slightly wetted paintbrush while applying an overall light wash creates a vivid, ink-like translucency.

Great product, competitively priced
These add another dimension to my sketching tools. More vibrant than watercolour pencils, apply them dry then use a waterbrush - the colours just burst into life. Fun.

These can be used in a variety of ways, I wanted them for working on fabric but also for preliminary sketches. Really easy to use and practical for taking out in the field ( or meadow in this case). I wish I’d discovered how versatile they are years ago.
