Write a reviewI am an amateur artist and charcoal is relatively new to me. This book encourages you to experiment and think about the many different ways charcoal can be used and the different effects that can be created. I found it clear and easy to understand. It covers many aspects from body geometry and its effect on mark making to using artistic references to photographing your artwork. It’s really comprehensive and I recommend it. Don’t expect to have clean nails for a while though….
