This amazing innovation from Daler Rowney now put you in charge when it comes to paint markers!
These refillable FW Mixed Media Paint Markers allow inks and other liquid media to be applied with precision across a wide variety of nibs and sizes. Ideal for use with FW inks, the markers are also suitable for use with other ranges including watercolours diluted with water, Liquitex inks and drawing inks etc. The FW Paint Marker can also be used like a water brush and can be used with inktense blocks or watercolour pencils.
The FW Paint Markers can be washed out if you want to change colours and refilled with other colours. Or you can simply refill the Paint Marker when it has run out of ink. .
For best results shake well once the the Paint Marker is filled with your colour, pump the nib gently until the ink starts to flow into the fibre nib and store markers horizontally with the cap on. Pipettes can be used to fill the barrel of the Paint Markers if you are mixing your own colours.
Not recommended for use with pearlescent inks as they contain tiny particles that can block the fibre tipped nibs.
The FW Paint Markers come in 8 nib/barrel sizes, each in twin packs except for the Large Flat nib which only has one per pack. Each Paint Marker comes with a spare nib.
The pens come in three barrel sizes:
Small: capacity of approx 3.6ml - available in the 0.8mm, 1mm, 1-2mm Round and 1-3mm Chisel nibs
Large: capacity of approx 5.7ml - available in 1-2mm Round, 2-4mm Round and 2-6mm Chisel
Extra Large: capacity of approx 23ml - available in 8-15mm Large Flat nib.

Lots of fun
better than any pre-filled marker
the markers are easy to fill, produce exact lines, the barrel and tip clean well with plain water, tip lasts for many applications

I wanted some acrylic paint markers but the colours in ready filled markers are often not very subtle. I used my FW acrylic inks to fill the 6 empty markers and I am delighted with them as a useful addition to my mixed media materials. My only reservation is that Daler Rowney do not sell packs of spare nibs. There are two in each pack but will they be enough I have emailed DR but have had no reply yet.

bought these for drawing in watercolour and they are excellent. Colour changing is easy and the nibs work extremely well. Love the fact that one can choose the colour for the markers and change it as often as liked.
