Golden Open Acrylics are filled with artist quality, slow-drying acrylic paints. Their unique slow-drying formula gives you more time to work with your paint and they have a slightly softer consistency than our heavy body paints.

These slow drying acrylics will open up a whole world of new painting techniques previously limited to oils. Their longer open time means that they can be easily blended and will not dry as quickly on your palette - they can even be used for some printmaking techniques! Artists who cover or seal their palettes have found that they are able to use the same colours for weeks - this helps to minimise waste and preserve your colour mixes! They have a slightly softer consistency than Golden's Heavy Body Acrylic colours.
