A final clear, removable, non-yellowing varnish for the protection of oil, alkyd and acrylic paintings.
Available in Gloss, Matt and Satin 400ml aerosol spray tins and a gloss retouching varnish.
The Retouching varnish which gives temporary protection to recently completed oil paintings. The retouching varnish allows the oil painting to dry and at the same time give the oil painting a temporary gloss finish.
After 6 to 9 months when the oil painting is completely dry, regular artist varnish can be applied without the need to remove the retouching varnish.
Dammar Varnish is a pale yellow varnish which dries to a high gloss for use on oil and alkyd paintings. It tends to darken with ageing and is removable with Distilled Turpentine.
Please note: aerosols cannot be sent outside the UK or Channel Islands as it is flammable.

Write a reviewI find spray varnish has a better drying time but not quite as good coverage as brush on.
A lot of my work has to be posted so tend to use a spray to ensure surface is cured.

I haven't used this purchase yet, but previous purchases have been very good. I use it on card model buildings, not "proper" art. It dries quite quickly to a very matt finish which is just what I need.
