The Kuretake Gansai Tambi 18 Large Pan Watercolour Paint Set includes eighteen whole pans of traditional Japanese paint. To see which colours are included in this set select the ‘Colours’ tab above.
Gansai Tambi (顔彩耽美) Watercolour Paints by Kuretake are traditional Japanese water based paints loved by professionals and craft workers alike. Much larger than traditional western whole pan watercolours, one pan of these paints measures 48 x 28mm. These high performance paints offer artists luminous, vibrant colour that can be used for all kinds of art applications - whether you’re sketching, creating manga illustrations, hand lettering, watercolour painting and more.
Use like a traditional watercolour paint by activating and lifting colour with a wet brush. Apply paint thickly for gouache-like colour, or thin with water for more transparent watercolour effects. All colours are lightfast, so you can be assured that your paintings will remain as vivid as they were the day you painted them. This set is packaged in a study green presentation case with a lid perfect for creating a painted colour chart.
These paints are non-toxic and confirm to ASTM D4236.
