The Loxley Empty Heavyweight Metal Box is a quality, good-value-for-money empty metal box which is enamelled black on the outside and white on the inside. Similar to the Winsor & Newton heavyweight metal whole pan boxes. The central well of the 16 half pan palettes can also be used to store extra half pans.

A lovely traditional paintbox. It's well-made and feels much sturdier than the more widely available boxes. The only thing I don't like is the way that the mixing areas 'droop' down a lot. I have managed to fix that by sticking plastic discs on the outside to hold the flap up.
