Schmincke Masking Fluid Pens are filled with a removable, latex-based masking fluid designed for watercolour painting. Available in white or blue, this masking fluid creates a protective film that repels water and colour, preserving the white of your paper wherever it’s applied.
The pen-style applicator allows for precise application, making it perfect for fine details and intricate designs. The white masking fluid dries clear, ensuring it doesn’t distract while you paint, while the blue version has a subtle tint so you can easily see where it’s been applied.
Once your painting is completely dry, simply rub away the masking fluid with a finger or a masking fluid eraser to reveal crisp, untouched highlights.
Avoid using on damp or soft-sized paper and always ensure your paint is fully dry before removing the mask. Do not leave on your painting for more than 2 days.
