20 Sheets glued on 4 sides
100% cotton, 300gsm (140lb) watercolour paper
Available in Hot Press, NOT and Rough in a selection of sizes
Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Paper Blocks are filled with 20 Sheets of 300gsm (140lb) 100% cotton watercolour paper. Crafted in Italy by fine art paper making experts, this traditional cylinder mould made surface has superb absorbency and excellent strength.
This professional quality paper produces smooth, even washes with excellent lustre and transparency of colour. The long, fine cotton fibres and internal and external sizing produce a paper that has a beautiful texture, extreme strength as well as optimal water absorbency, pigment dispersion and lasting colour adherence.
Ideal for use with Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Paint. Also suitable for Gouache painting. It is also compatible with acrylic, pastel and charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolour pencils and watercolour markers.
This paper is Acid-Free, Archival and Non-Yellowing. It is FSC approved and has a natural white finish.
Available in Hot Press, NOT (Cold Pressed) and Rough in a selection of sizes.
Please note that watercolour paper blocks are glued on all four sides to negate the need for stretching if you are doing a light wash. If you are doing a heavier wash the paper will buckle. Only the top sheet can be worked on at one time. Once your painting is complete remove the top sheet by inserting a palette knife into the gap in the glued edges. Run the knife round the edge of the block until the top sheet comes loose.

Write a reviewI love W&N HP watercolour paper for its smooth surface, its durability even when working it hard, and its off-white colour. And the fact, it's glued on all sides and doesn't buckle makes working with lots of water a painfree and very enjoyable experience.
More difficult than Arches for painting wet in wet. Need to get the colour mix just right, not as forgiving of how thin the mix is.
Perfect for my watercolours
