Write a reviewI’m still learning to use watercolours but I found and even when I put tape around it that it buckled really badly when I put my washes on. I was surprised . I didn’t have this problem on a thicker paper.

Thank you for your feedback. The paper in these pads is 140lb. Any paper this weight will be able to take a light wash without buckling too much, but would buckle when any more than a light wash is applied. We recommend stretching 140lb paper if you want to use more water. Heavier weight paper can take more water without buckling, but this is to do with the weight/thickness, not the brand. We have a useful blog post for more advice on choosing watercolour paper here: https://www.artsupplies.co.uk/blog/a-beginners-guide-to-buying-watercolour-paper/

I’m quite happy with this paper for what I am doing at the moment. It has a nice texture for doing things like dry brush work. It does tend to buckle a a bit on the the corners but as I am only learning & painting for me at the moment that is not too much of a problem. As I progress (hopefully) I shall invest in a heavier weight one.
Lovely quality paper at a great price
