Caran d’Ache is a rarity among world pencil manufacturers, for it has obtained this label for both the type of wood used and its conversion in its Geneva workshops.

Write a reviewVery nice colour selections for skintones, best ones I have found so far. The darkest colours can be a bit scratchy when applied to paper, but gives the same end result. A bit larger than ordinary pencils so they don't fit the smaller size sharpeners. In addition the wood casing is harder than normal and while a lesser (handheld) sharpener works, it can grind a bit on the casing making the wood fuzzy. They are very easy to burnish and blends nicely. They don't break easy either. All in all a superb product, I love them.
The white Luminance pencils are extremely creamy and opaque. Great for working on darker papers.
good pencil colours especially the white one + one can buy open stock too
