Write a reviewCaran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle Pencils are more expensive than other makes of watercolour pencils but their quality, handling and use outweigh their cost. I have used Faber Castell over the years and have found them excellent. However, the Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle Pencils have a distinct quality that make them a pleasure to use. They are vibrant and make good washes of colour. Also they mix and blend on the paper easily. My favourite colours are Genuine Cobalt Blue and Gold Cadmium Yellow. Some colours are soft which is part of their character and can break easily if pressed too heavily, but broken bits can be useful. The Yellow Ochre and Raw Sienna plus Raw Umber are useful too in landscape. When I ordered Prussian Blue and Thalo Blue were out of stock. I will order them with my Bromley £1 coupon.
If I remember right I purchesed a tin of five pencils from Bromley some time back and found them strong. They are expensive but worth every penny. I cannot revieve every one I bought singly. I was disappointed not that the Prusian blue were sold out. I will order them when back in stock. I especially liked the Genuine Cobalt bluue and Gold Cadmium Yellow. They are great to use. They are all strong colours.
Love the whole set ‘Museum’ colours - simply great in coloured pencil art iften with shades J can’t get easily wise here. In use great
