Caran d’Ache Neoart 6901 Wax Oil Pastels are highly pigmented, professional-quality pastels with exceptional lightfastness across all 48 colours. They’re the first professional pastels of their kind, offering 100% lightfastness across all 48 colours. They have a firm yet smooth texture - distinct from soft or oil pastels - that glides effortlessly without crumbling, providing excellent coverage and easy blending. Versatile in application, they can be used on paper, card, toned paper, canvas, and wood, and work beautifully over ink, acrylic, and watercolour - with no fixative required.

Use the edges for fine lines, the flat sides for broad strokes, or the corners for details. Colours can be layered, blended with turpentine, scraped back using sgraffito, or burnished to a glossy finish. Inspired by their Luminance 6901 range, Caran d’Ache designed Neoart 6901 for artists who demand rich colour and professional performance.

Each pastel has a comfortable octagonal profile that provides better grip and control. They also feature a removable paper label with the Colour ID number and name. Each pastel measures approximately 68mm x 10mm.
