140lb (300gsm) 100% cotton cylinder mould made watercolour paper
Has the look and feel of handmade paper
Available in Hot Pressed and NOT surfaces
Canson Moulin du Roy watercolour paper is made on a traditional cylinder mould machine. Moulin du Roy is 100% cotton, has ideal absorbency and superior strength.
This surface retains the look and feel of handmade paper. It is both internally and surface sized to aid the lifting of dried colour. It gives artists more opportunity to rework their watercolour paintings and the pigment also appears brighter.
Canson Moulin du Roy has a natural white colour, is acid free and is made without bleaching agents. This results in a paper with optimal conservation and archival qualities over time. It complies with ISO Standard 9706 and is treated with a mould resistant treatment.
This paper is available in 300gsm (140lb) and in a NOT (Cold Pressed) or HP (Hot Pressed) surface. Each sheet has four straight edges - they are not deckled.
Canson 'Moulin Du Roy' paper is sized with AKD (Alkyl ketene dimer), an alternative to gelatine sizing that contains no animal derived ingredients.
Canson Moulin Du Roy Watercolour Paper Pads also available.

Write a reviewMoulin du Roy is my ultimate watercolour paper. The Hot Press is superbly smooth. The sizing allows me the kind of "on the surface" control I need when guiding my inks and watercolours. I only wish I could buy Moulin du Roy in larger than Imperial sheet sizes.
Fantastic paper and price, very very workable and allows errors to be corrected without causing damage to the paper itself. Please note this paper is bright and framed paintings of mine have never yellowed. My only gripe with this current order was that the bag the paper came in was so well wrapped in sticky tape it made the bag unserviceable to hold the paper, other than that brilliant.

Hi Nige. Thanks for your review. We're happy to hear that you have ejoyed using this paper, but sorry to hear about the issue with the packaging. We've followed this up with our packing team to make sure it doesn't happen again.
