A step up in quality
For many years I used Bockingford paper but then began to notice defects in the paper surface. I switched to Langton Prestige which is much superior in quality but still reasonably priced.

This is really good paper. It takes plenty of "heavy handling", shall we say, when doing your first washes. And the pigments from decent paint. Like the 'Winsor & Newton Artists Watercolours' are a sight to behold as they drift across a skyscape.. Top Drawer stuff.. Highly recommended.
