Write a reviewAlways a fan of W&N paper so I was a bit concerned when I found out they had switched production to a different mill. It is a much different paper more similar to Fabriano. The colour shift is also a lot less dramatic making judging tones a lot easier. All in all a much improved paper which is still very good value.
I am very pleased with this paper, I would probably say this is the best I have used and would absolutely buy again
Trying this paper as an alternative to my usual Watercolour papers, and having got used to its qualities I think it compares well with most other papers I use. It is perhaps a shame that there is no Rough version in the 300lb range. The colours sit well on the surface of the paper and it scrubs out well if needed. The only criticism I have is that unlike all the other 300 lb papers I use this one does tend to cockle slightly when flooded with colour.
