Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper is mould made, produced with 100% cotton, chlorine and acid free, guaranteeing long conservation and inalterability over time. The paper is sized both internally and externally, making it ideally absorbent and retaining its nature unaltered even if scratched. Traditional white, without optical bleaching.
Two deckle edged and watermarked "FABRIANO+ARTISTICO" on the short side. Short grain. The high quality and ample offer of this paper satisfied the requirements of all professional artists and the most demanding amateurs.
Ideal for watercolour, tempera, gouache, acrylic, link, charcoal, graphite and drawing. It is also suitable for printmaking.
Fabriano Artistico is available in ROUGH, COLD PRESSED (NOT) and HOT PRESSED (HP). The rough is the roughest paper, NOT is a medium texture and HP is smooth. Due to surface changes in 2016 the HP may not be suitable for detailed botanical work.
Please note: that if the paper is cut it will change the number of deckle edges in the sheet.

Write a reviewThe surface of the paper is great for my type of brush work and large flowing washes,I,m very impressed with finished results.
I use this for detailed botanical drawings. It is a good white colour, very smooth, takes many layers of pencil. Doesn’t have such an obvious texture as Arches. I can put down a surprising number of light layers and don’t get ‘specks’ in my work. Love it! Bought with trepidation because of issues with the manufacturing process a few years ago. A professional CP artist said the issues had been solved. I haven’t tried it with watercolour, so can’t say how botanical work would go, but for CP it is lovely .On my third drawing. Any issues I have are not to do with the paper.
Good quality paper to practise with. Will buy again.
