Galeria Brushes

Galeria brushes have been specifically designed for use with acrylic colour. The versatility of acrylic colour places heavy demands on any brush which is why we created Galeria brushes to be strong and resilient, whilst offering flexibility and sensitivity in use.

The unique mix of synthetic filaments has been developed to provide artists with perfect control for thicker application of colour and responsiveness, whilst maintaining excellent shape retention.

The versatility of the range means it is available in both short and long-handle variants. The short-handles have a softer head, ideal for using when a thinner consistency is required for glazing or a water colour style of painting. The long-handled brushes are made from stiffer filaments, allowing thicker application on tougher surfaces.

Galeria brushes are stiff enough to push thick colour, applying the colour like a spade for specific effects. The short-handled variants have excellent colour carrying capacity for use with fluid colour.

The synthetic filaments in the flats are curved, helping the brushes retain their original shape during use and the rounds offer a good point for delicate linear application. Regardless of the volumes of water used in acrylics, the use of synthetic fibres ensures good shape retention particularly in comparison to traditional hogs.

Round - Long Handle

This long handled Round brush is designed for artists using acrylic colour as a thick medium and who require a controllable and resilient brush. It is also suitable for use with Oil and Griffin Alkyd colours.

Short Flat/Bright - Long Handle

A short flat head. Creates sharp edges with control.
A long handled Short Flat brush for use with heavy colour applications. The head features specially shaped fibres, which prevent the hairs splaying and ensure a controlled width of mark.

One Stroke/Wash - Short Handle

Flat wash brush. For creating edges & shapes or applying washes.
This short handled One Stroke brush is specially designed for artists using acrylic colour in a diluted consistency, the brush has a softer head for this type of usage.

Filbert - Long Handle

Flat with oval tip. Creates a broad mark with a soft edge.
This long handled Filbert brush is designed for use with acrylic colour as a thick medium. The filbert shaped head provides the versatility of both a round and flat brush.
